The photo you choose is processed entirely on your device. hanna does not have a server, an account system, or any way to upload, store, or see your photos. Nothing about the image itself ever leaves your phone.
If you speak a note onto the back of a postcard, hanna turns your speech into text using on-device Speech Recognition — nothing is sent to a server or to Apple to do this. Microphone access is only used while you're recording a note, and the audio itself is never saved.
If the photo you choose carries location data, hanna sends those coordinates — on their own, not the photo — to Apple's location service, to resolve a place name for the card's caption and postmark. That lookup is handled by Apple under its own privacy terms; hanna never sees or stores the result beyond placing it on the card.
hanna includes a single one-time purchase that unlocks its full set of features. It's handled entirely by Apple's In-App Purchase system — hanna never sees your payment details, and Apple tells hanna only whether the purchase succeeded.
